Chairman

Dalhatu Abubakar

Dalhatu Abubakar, a highly accomplished and visionary leader, currently serves as the President of the Coalition of Northern States Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (CONSCCIMA). With an impressive career spanning over three decades, Abubakar has demonstrated expertise in procurement, strategy, research, data analysis, investment promotion, and management/administration. Holding key positions such as Chairman/CEO of various entities, including DABCON Ventures Ltd and DALTRUST Automobile Company Nigeria Limited, he has made substantial contributions to the business landscape. Abubakar’s leadership extends to chambers of commerce, where he has served as the Immediate Past President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA) and the current President of CONSCCIMA. Beyond business, his commitment to community service and humanitarian efforts is evident through the establishment of the ALHAMSAD Charity Foundation and ALHAMSAD Specialist Hospital in Kano. Abubakar’s diverse business interests, commitment to continuous learning, and numerous awards reflect his significant impact on business, humanitarian causes, and youth empowerment in Nigeria.

Sabiu Umar Yola

Yola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and earned an MBA from Bayero University, Kano, in 2004. His career began as an assistant lecturer at the School of Management Studies, Kano, before transitioning to banking with Savannah Bank of Nigeria Plc in 1986. Yola has held various positions at institutions such as Highland Bank of Nigeria Plc, Pinacle Commercial Bank, Calabar Wood Company, Broad Bank, and African International Bank Limited, showcasing his expertise in financial services, management, and audit. Joining Kabo Air Limited in 2004 as Financial Controller and later serving as Executive Director (Finance and Admin.) until 2017, Yola implemented significant changes. He is a member of professional associations, including the Nigerian Institute of Management and ISACA, and has presented papers on topics such as fraud detection and internal control. Yola’s astute administrative skills are further demonstrated by his board memberships in several companies.

Mohammed Yakasai

Mohammed Abdu Yakasai is a highly experienced professional with over 34 years of expertise in Commercial and Central Banking Operations. Possessing a robust educational background, he holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Yakasai is recognized as an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and is affiliated with prestigious institutions such as the Nigeria Institute of Management, London Business School (LBS), and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His illustrious career spans six banks, starting with Citi-Bank NA in 1989, where he ascended to the position of Deputy General Manager at Unity Bank PLC. Joining the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in 2009, he served in various roles, including Special Assistant (1) to the Governor. Notably, Mr. Yakasai held the position of Director at the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, where he chaired the Board Credit Committee. He retired from the Central Bank of Nigeria as a Director on October 1, 2023. Mr. Yakasai continues to be a driving force in the financial sector, marked by his expertise, innovation, and unwavering commitment to positive change.

Adamu Balanti

Bsc, MBA, MCSE, FCIA
With over 35 years of extensive experience across Banking, Accounting, IT Consulting, and the Public Service sectors, he brings a wealth of expertise to the table. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and an MBA from Bayero University, Kano. He is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer and a member of esteemed professional bodies such as the Nigeria Computer Society, Computer Professionals Registration Council, Nigerian Statistics Association, IPESA, and the Chartered Institute of Administrators. He has demonstrated his commitment to excellence in his field over the years. Throughout his career, he has held pivotal roles, including Head of Information Technology at the now-defunct African International Bank (AIB), General Manager of Information Systems at Dangote Group, Managing Director of Bisten Technologies Ltd, Director of Research, Statistics, and IT at the National Insurance Commission, and the National Coordinator of MDRI, an initiative under the FSS2020 aimed at restructuring and developing the insurance industry in Nigeria, among others.
